Yogyakarta has a long coastline with almost 8 beaches in one coastline. One of the beautiful beaches in Yogyakarta is Pok Tunggal Beach.Pok Tunggal Beach is a unique place for we can find a wellspring and unique undulated flows that come from 3 different directions. Even though the beach is quiet new comparing to the other beaches like Baron, Krakal, Kukup,etc, we can easily find food stall there, and the price is quiet affordable. The location of Pok Tunggal Beach lies at Tepus Village, Tepus sub-district, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. The location is right to WatuLawang Beach and Seruni Beach. It takes around 1.5 – 2 hours by motorcycle from Yogyakarta City.

You can explore them all night long. You can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and make you feel more comfortable and relaxed. The get beauty needs huge efforts. You need to cross the winding, up and down roads with large rocks along the way to get there. There was an entry gate with a fairly extreme and dangerous road last time I was there. We also need to be more careful when trying to get there by car since the road was narrow and dangerous.
You need to get your own tent if you want to spend the night in Pok Tunggal Beach for you won’t find any lodgings there.

           
The tiring yet dangerous way will be paid with the breathtaking view! We will see the beautiful white sand along the beach followed by the wave and the blowing wind as the signature of “Pantai Selatan”. It is better to enjoy the sunset in the beach. You will get the perfect atmosphere from the beach and the sunset itself.

The visitors mostly spend their weekends here by enjoying the sunset till dawn. There will be many local communities who sell umbrellas and mats so you can lie down and enjoy the night view of the Pok Tunggal Beach.

You can also see many marine creatures, the beautiful corals, and you can also catch the fish that trapped when the water is flux. Don’t forget to wear your sandals!
